Technical Advisory: Current Stability Issues in Satisfactory
Even the most efficient pioneer can encounter unexpected system failures. To help you maintain maximum uptime, we have documented several known anomalies currently affecting Satisfactory servers and the best methods to mitigate them.
1. Vehicular Instability & Connectivity
Operating motorized transport is currently one of the primary causes of client-side instability. When a player takes the wheel, the game may suffer a critical crash, leading to an immediate loss of connection for the driver.
Crucial Recovery Step: If you are disconnected while driving, do not attempt to reconnect immediately. Instead, monitor the server information page. Wait until the active player count correctly reflects the current state before attempting to rejoin to avoid further session errors.
2. Critical Hardware & Construction Risks
- The Armor Gun Paradox: Deploying the primary ranged weapon (Armor Gun) currently triggers a severe server-side failure. This crash forces the system to automatically reload the last available save state, potentially resulting in minor rollbacks.
- Mass Demolition Hazards: While the mass dismantle feature (using the CTRL key) is designed for efficiency, it is currently unstable. Utilizing this function on large structures may lead to an immediate server crash.
3. The "Missing Progress" Mirage (IP & Config Issues)
A change in your server's IP address can trigger the creation of a fresh configuration file (ServerSettings.PORT) within the /satisfactory/FactoryGame/saved/Savegames directory. This often makes it appear as though your hard-earned progress has vanished, but the data remains safe on the disk.
How to Restore Your Session:
- Complete the initial setup by defining a session name and admin password.
- Initialize a new game world and join it.
- Once inside, press Escape and navigate to the "Load" menu.
- Select your original save file from the list.
After the loading sequence completes, you will find yourself back in your previous world with all progress fully intact.
